Marty and Shari Braemer came to MIDWAY in December 2023. He has pastored churches in New York, Florida, and Ohio before coming to Georgia.

Pastor attended college in Northwest Indiana and worked in radio, sales and marketing.  He has been the administrator of 3 schools, coached high school varsity basketball and baseball, served as the President of two sports leagues, and has preached conferences and camps as well as guest lecturing at colleges.

He loves expository series preaching that uses humor to engage the listener with real life application. 

The Braemer's have been married for over 30 years and have four adult children, one dog, and one cat. Shari is an RN at a local hospital and directs our women's ministries as well as teaching in our children's ministry and serving on our worship team.

Pastor is a published author of two books, has a podcast, hosts a syndicated radio show and loves watching the New York Mets.

Kathryn serves as the Student Ministries Director and Worship Leader.  She and her family came to MIDWAY in September of 2024.

Kathryn was raised in church and came to know Jesus at the age of 4.  She grew up in a family culture of service  to church and community, and has served in a variety of lay ministry  positions for most of her life. 

She believes that personal daily  engagement with God’s word, being committed to consistently spending  time with Christ followers, and intentionally engaging in acts of  service are three keys to maintaining a close relationship with God. 

 Kathryn is the wife of Josh Short. They have been married for 23 years. She is also the mother of five children ranging  from preschool to college ages.  In addition to church and family  activities she is a full time homeschool mom and tutor. 

Kathryn loves  music.  She has a heart for  teaching and mentoring young people live healthy and productive  lives following Jesus.
